Grind Map began because Quillan Marsh was tired of Vancouver players buying a Portland "C" and then catching Esther Short dew on the first wet Saturday.

The first sheet was a condemned 7.5-minute plat from the county attic, flipped over, with leading contours in river-blue. The first tray was a tin baker. Contours get drawn before anyone talks about grinding. Sheet 7 still refuses driver faces; scoring quads only.

Suite 7 sits where Esther Short lawn becomes county linoleum. If you want chrome and a launch wall, keep going toward the waterfront hotels and do not knock.
